Assassin's Creed
Date would be disappoint at how late to the pa-di I am, but oh well.

Fun game. Got a little tedious toward the end, but the gameplay's fairly easy, and I never got tired of seeing Altair fly through the air and land on someone's back like a bird of prey. ♥
A few bugs and slow reaction times hampered movement sometimes, and they got progressively annoying when the missions got harder and every second of a chase counted. Most notably climbing structures (way too slow -- there should at least be a speed boost when there's a city-wide alarm and the guards chasing you just magically fly across buildings while you're like spiderman on sleeping pills) and trying to get a handle on that odd ledge that just wouldn't let you no matter what button you press -- and in the event you press the wrong one, you get to see Altair fall gloriously to his death and start the segment all over again.
I loved the concept though, and the amount of research that went into this despite the apparent AU-ness. In general, I'm not particularly fond of action-oriented games with no voluntary save options, but I'd grit my teeth and bear a great deal for a good story and a brilliant cutscene. I think the dialogue could have been handled better, but that's just me being greedy.
No complaints about the graphics, except I wish my comp could have handled running this thing at full capacity. I had to knock Graphics down to 2 to eliminate lag midway, but what I saw at full Detail + Graphics was amazing. Jumping down from the highest View Point (think it was in Acre?) in a Leap of Faith gave me chills.
Another thing that disappointed me a little was the flat characterizations (Malik was sort of cute, I guess...at least he had snark), but I'm hoping AC2 would alleviate that.
Some quotes I really loved:
summerbreeze21 has been really helpful with all the Arabic names + phrases spoken in-game. Thought it was funny whenever Altair's voice actor tried to pronounce them -- not that I would have done a better job (ain, I'm looking at you), but second-hand embarrassment and all that.
Also loved that little twist at the end. Wasn't expecting that. ♥
I wasn't aware that Altair's ring finger was er...not present, until I encountered a post about it on the Wiki (observe fail!). That it was removed in order to properly fit him with his uber Hidden Blade makes it kinda cool, although actual practice of such an arrangement makes me cringe for the neighboring fingers. o.O;

"Nothing is true. Everything is permitted."

"And in the end, you'll have only yourself to blame...you, who speak of good intentions."
~ William of Montferrat
"How could I finance a war in service to the same god that calls me an abomination?"
~ Abu'l Nuqoud
"Are you really so naive? Do you appease a crying child, simply because he wails? 'But I want to play with fire, father.' What would you say? 'As you wish'? Ah, but then you'd answer for his burns."
~ Garnier de Naplouse
